American Yoga Council (AYC) uses Stripe to securely verify business ownership and to enable revenue share payouts. Stripe is a trusted, third-party payment processor used by millions of organizations.
Step 1: Start the Stripe Connection
Log in to your AYC account
Switch to School Profile
Navigate to Revenue Share from the drop down menu
Select Update Stripe (business)
You will be redirected to Stripe’s secure website
Log in with your email address
Enter the Security code when prompted
Fill out required business details
Connect an external bank account
🔒 Note: All information is entered directly into Stripe. AYC does not store your banking or tax details.
All payments and payouts are handled directly through Stripe, which is one of the most trusted and secure payment processors in the world. Companies like Amazon, Google, Lyft, and thousands of major brands rely on Stripe because of its strict security standards and encrypted systems.
Required Business Details: Tell Stripe About Your Business
On Stripe’s setup screen, you’ll be asked to provide basic business information, including:
Legal business name
Business type (individual, LLC, corporation)
Employer Identification Number (EIN) or SSN (for sole proprietors)
Business address
This information is required to verify that your school is a legitimate business and the rightful business owner (details below).
Verify the Business Owner
Stripe requires verification of the person who owns or controls the business. You may be asked to provide:
Full legal name
Date of birth
Home address
Government-issued ID (in some cases)
This is a standard compliance requirement for financial platforms.
Connection: Add a Bank Account
To enable payouts and revenue sharing, you must connect a bank account:
Enter your bank routing number and account number OR
Use Link to log in to your online banking
This is how Stripe transfers earned revenue and dividends to you.
Review & Submit
Double-check all entered information for accuracy.
Click Submit to complete the Stripe setup
Make sure to agree to the terms of service
It may take AYC a short time to review and verify your details. In most cases, approval is quick.
Step 6: Confirmation
Once your Stripe account is successfully connected:
Your school will show as verified and will be visible on the Map
Revenue share and payouts will be enabled
You will unlock program creation applications
No further action is required unless Stripe requests additional information or documentation.
