How many hours does my YTT need to be?

American Yoga Council (AYC) uses a competency-based education model, rather than a strictly hour-based system. The emphasis is on whether the student can competently apply what they’ve learned, instead of how many contact hours were completed. Because of this difference, Level 1 programs can be more or less than 200 hours.
