Verified Credentials: AYC Level

How to verify your teaching credentials and receive your Teacher Badge

Let's get you verified!

One of the benefits of being a Premium or Professional member at AYC is to display verified teaching credentials. We verify two ways:

  1. Teaching History

  2. Individual Credentials (Each YTT or Specialty/CE program you have graduated from)

Since our model is competency based instead of hourly based, we take your teaching history into consideration when assigning your AYC Level.


  • First, head over to your Teacher Profile and select "Edit Profile"

  • Once in edit mode, select "Add Credentials"


  • Next, fill out and submit your Teaching history for AYC to review.


  • Finally, you can submit each of your individual credentials for verification: if you have a digital copy of your certification, please attach it by selecting "Choose File". Then confirm the details of the training and submit for AYC to review. Every credential/certification is reviewed individually and assigned a correlating badge.

  • Review the details in the expanded version (below) and submit for verification. If you do not have your certificate, select "I'm missing my certificate" and fill out the training details manually using the provided form. Once submitted, AYC Staff will review AYC will notify you once your credential is verified, or if we need more information. Please note: There is a one time fee to review individual teaching credentials.


Your AYC Teaching level will appear under your profile picture, whereas individual verified credentials will show up in the body of your profile.
