In June AYC is announcing the second layer of our certification model: specialties. Teachers will be eligible to receive certification in specialized fields based on their training history, life experience, and teaching experience.
Anyone who applied for the ability to lead specialty programs and who was granted that by AYC during our launch phase will automatically be given a Level 1 or 2 certification in that specific specialty. You may apply to receive a higher level.
What happens when we launch specialty levels?
Anyone who has an AYC-accredited specialty program (upcoming, past, or draft) will automatically receive Level 2 status in that specialty
To preserve the integrity of the system, we humbly ask teachers who wish to be certified in a specialty to complete the new more thorough application process which will display their full expertise in a new “yoga resume” feature.
As a thank you to all our early adopters there is no application or certification fee for any specialty certification while we’re in the community input phase.
